How NonProfitDB is Different
- A New Kind of Free
- Investing in What Matters
- Integration of Silos
- Open Pricing and Demo
There are a lot of database solutions for nonprofits that are marketed as free. That usually means one of the following – free installation, free set-up, free or no license fee, and rarely all of them together. We went further, and now are offering free monthly hosting and maintenance so that way NonProfitDB literally has no start-up charges. (This is pretty much offering you the new flat screen television for free, delivering it, installing it and then paying your monthly cable bill for you.)
But of course we do offer extra support but that is applied only for value-added activities like training so that your employees get the most of NonProfitDB, and customizations applied directly to your unique processes and organization as we’re trying to fit the system around the organization and not the other way around. This way each organization extracts maximum value of an existing product but can choose to invest in improving its level of use and customize it any way you see fit. (And that is pretty much charging you only for showing you how to use your new tv set and number of gadgets and features, and if you want to perhaps change your TV so that it makes … popcorn too.)
Another way that we’re distinctly different is that we offer no modules — NonProfitDB comes with all possible add-ons and it’s completely ready for event, contact, fundraising, e-commerce, crm, and mass emailing management. From the very beginning we set out to develop a system that puts the integration of data silos at its core, which by extension, if you think about it in the most practical sense, means that we are going to put your constituent center-stage by not making them register half-a-dozen times into different online systems. Also very importantly, your employees will be able to see at one central location whether a certain constituent is, e.g. a pledge, online store buyer and an event participant.
Finally, we’ve got an open pricing and demo policy — we publish our pricing for value-added services here, and give free access without registration to our demo here. This way there’s no oil-snake-salesmanship and any organization can evaluate our solutions without being pestered by sales people who had little input in designing the system. This is it — take it or leave, but of course feel free to drop us a line or a comment below.
